Resolving Thyroid Wellbeing Challenges
The thyroid gland is a small part of the body which can have a big impact on your health. This butterfly-shaped gland sits at the front of the neck, wrapped around the windpipe. It releases hormones which help facilitate vital, high level body processes and functions.

These are benchmark thyroid tests designed to evaluate thyroid health by looking at key thyroid biomarkers which include Triiodothyronine (T3), Thyroxine (T4), and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). The levels of these biomarkers in your blood indicate whether your thyroid is functioning normally or if further action needs to be taken to restore your body’s hormonal equilibrium. Further testing to refine these results even more may include checks for antibodies which can indicate the presence of thyroid-related issues.
Purchase one of our thyroid test kits. Each kit contains an easy-to-use finger prick blood test. Use the lancet to obtain a sample then send it back to us. Our laboratory partners will analyse the sample and we’ll be in touch with your results, usually within two days. Results are accompanied by a detailed report which explains your results. Further follow-up care and advice is also available if required.
An underactive thyroid is a common health complaint. Out thyroid tests look at the levels of Triiodothyronine (T3), Thyroxine (T4), and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) in your blood. From this we can determine whether your thyroid is not producing enough hormones, which would indicate an underactive thyroid.
Some of our blood tests require you to fast before taking a blood sample. This makes the test more accurate and capable of providing better results. It’s also sometimes needed if you’re taking further tests or assessments. If it is necessary for you to fast, full instructions are provided in our test kits.
No. While our thyroid test at home kits identify potential problems with either an overactive or underactive thyroid, they do not detect thyroid cancer. If you are concerned about thyroid cancer, please seek further advice from your GP. Cancer diagnoses are often informed by ultrasound scans and biopsies.
You can check your own thyroid health by physically examining it and checking for nodules. Or, you can look in a mirror and observe how the thyroid behaves when drinking a glass of water. However, without the required experience, it can be very difficult to draw any conclusions from these tests. That’s why our private thyroid tests are so valuable. They can inform you of your thyroid health accurately and promptly, with minimal effort (or knowledge) on your part.
